The East Georgia State College (EGSC) Women’s Basketball Team reached multiple milestones last season in 2022-2023, earning 22 wins and a USA Top 25 ranking for the first time in school history. The Lady Bobcat’s season ended with a close loss in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) Championship.
This season the EGSC Women’s Basketball Team has dominated the GCAA. The team is currently undefeated in conference play (16-0) with 23 total wins and only 3 losses for the entire season and is ranked in the USA Top 25 for the second consecutive season. Having clinched first place in the conference, EGSC will host the GCAA Conference Tournament at home in Swainsboro. EGSC will play in the semifinals on Friday, March 15 at 6:00 pm and the championship game will be on Saturday, March 16 at 2:00 pm.
The community is invited to come support the team and see why EGSC women’s basketball has garnered national attention and attracted some of the best talent Georgia has to offer. With former and current players having signed full scholarships to notable D1 four-year schools, the program has developed into a first-choice option for student-athletes seeking to play at the highest levels of collegiate competition.
EGSC needs the community’s support for homecourt advantage. HELP US PACK THE HOUSE FOR THE HOME TEAM!
